Hi friends. It's Jen Spencer, host of the Intelligent Inbound Podcast, brought to you by SmartBug Media. Last season, as I served the SmartBug team as chief revenue officer, the team and I wanted to produce a show that was equal parts tactical and inspirational and where you would have a chance to meet some of the smartest, most creative and yet data driven, intelligent inbound marketers out there. And we learned from pros who are in the marketing trenches with you day in and day out, pushing the limits on inbound marketing and making a name for themselves and the brands they represent.
(00:35):
Well, it's season two and I'm in a new role, chief executive officer for SmartBug Media, HubSpot Elite and Klaviyo Master Elite partner, which is more than a little exciting considering I first met SmartBug back in 2013 when I hired this team to help me build an inbound optimized website and support organic lead generation goals for my organization. As I've grown as a leader, I've experienced just how important the inbound methodology is to many different types of businesses, from my roots in high growth software to healthcare, senior living, higher education, financial services, other professional services and even manufacturing, and what I've learned is that inbound is a vital part of so many successful business stories.
(01:26):
So this season, you're going to hear from executives leading the charge within their own organizations. We put together a group of CEOs, COOs, presidents, general managers and the like to better understand how they practice intelligent inbound and why the inbound methodology doesn't stop at the walls of the marketing office. Not that we all have team offices these days, but you know what I mean.
(01:55):
So here's a little peak at this season's topics. We dive into what inbound means in their organizations and how they've prepared their team for shifts and changes in their industry. We talk about the major threats or opportunities that they foresee for their business in an economic downturn and even the things that have happened to the market that have been most influential, and they might be positive or negative.
(02:22):
I also dig into what they're viewing on that one dashboard every morning and how that compares with, say, the top three key business metrics that they share with their board. And then my all time favorite, I love asking everyone to pretend money is not an issue and do some blank check dreaming. Where would they ask their marketing team to invest those dollars? I promise you no two episodes are the same and you're sure to be inspired.
(02:53):
So thanks for joining me on this digital adventure. I hope you'll enjoy these conversations as much as I have, and I look forward to reading your reviews on Apple Podcast and on Spotify. Oh, and please share with a friend, and if you think you or someone you know belongs on the show, email us at marketing@SmartBugMedia.com so we can get connected. Thanks all. Make it a great day.
